Day Three Thousand and Ninety Eight

Nobody had time for lovely sleep ins today. 

Because it was a busy day for everybody today.

When the go fast car took Niamh to her work I minded Craig. And kept him all safe and warm. 

But he was all dressed and awake when Zita got back.

But Zita and I went to our own office right away. 

Because Zita had a very important meeting on her computer.

So Craig made her favourite fluffy coffee before our meeting started. 

When Craig made his own coffee I helped him eat his toasts. 

And then we looked out my watching window. So we could know what is going on. 

Mister Ollie was here again. He was just resting in our little pile of snow. 

And having a nap. 

So then I went back into our office and helped Zita with her very long important meeting. 

At lunchtime Zita and I went for a nice around the block walk. 

I was not way too tired today. 

So I could go for a walk. But not for long walks. 

My Doctor Waller said I can only take little short walks. 

Until my operation is all better again. Oh well.

But after lunchtime I played with new big ball. I was not tired all the time today. 

The man on the television told us that we are going to have lots and lots of snow tonight. Oh dear.

If you have way too much snow you cannot even find your own car. Or sometimes even your house. Or your friends. Oh dear. 

That is why I just stay in my side yard. 

Because my house is right there so I can not just loose it. That is good. 

When our work was all finished Zita went out to do some shopping.

And when she came back home she had lots and lots of tasty food and Niamh too. That was good.

Sometimes when Zita and go fast car go away I think that maybe she will forget how to come home. Oh dear me. 

And I get a little bit too anxious. So I have to stay right at my watching window and wait for her. 

So I am very very happy when she comes home. 

Niamh went downstairs right away.

Because she had a brand new just on the television class right from her nice university. 

When her class was all over we had our together delicious dinner. That is my favourite kind of dinner.

Maybe we will watch a brand new program on the television tonight. Ha. 

Day Three Thousand and Ninety Seven

We did not get up so early today.

Because I could not go to fast asleep so much last night.

Because I was a bit too sore. And I was very hungry.

Because you cannot have lots and lots to eat when you come home from a hospital. 

Or maybe you will just have a too sick tummy. 

But I was very very hungry. And my tummy was very loud too. 

So in the middle of the night Zita got me a late a night dinner and chicken treats too. 

And then she had a nice nap on the living room sofa. And I had a nap right beside her. 

And sometimes we looked out the window. But it was not so interesting.

Because everybody was still fast asleep. Except Zita and me. 

Then we just went fast asleep. Good for us.

When Craig was all awake he made Zita her fluffy coffees and he gave me some of my do not be too sore medicine.

Then Zita went to our own office but I did not help so much today.

Because I was very tired. You are always too tired after an operation. 

So you can have nice long naps and nobody minds. 

We always gave Emmet lots and lots of comfy pillows when he came home from the hospital. And I minded him.

But he cannot mind me when he is in his way far away in Cork university. Oh dear. Too bad for me.

But Zita and Niamh are my very best nurses. And Craig always gets me very tasty treats. 

Sometimes with chicken.

And sometimes with Mister Saint Albert’s delicious very old cheese. Ha. That is a tasty treat.

At lunchtime Zita pushed away some of the snow again. Right in the street. 

And moved it all away so the melting snow would not just make a giant puddle on my corner. 

When Zita was all finished her rascal ladies work she drove Niamh to Miss Anna’s apartment. 

Because Miss Ann broke her own foot. And now she can only just hop all over. 

Like a bunny rabbit. But not so quick. Or dear. Too bad for her.

So Niamh went over to be a big help.

So I only have to mind Craig and Zita for dinner tonight.

Then I think we will watch a new program. But not for so long.

Because Zita and I did not get so much sleep last night. 

Day Three Thousand and Ninety Six

Everybody got up early this morning.

Because after our good morning walk the back go fast car took me to my little hospital.

So my friend Doctor Waller can fix the sore on my back. 

But Zita could not bring me inside. She had to stay in our go fast car.

Because of the new rules. Oh dear me. I did not like that at all. 

So I had to go in with one of Doctor Waller’s helpers. 

Not one of my own family. That was not all right. Oh dear me.

And when I am in the hospital I have to stay in a very little space. Not my own comfy bed. 

I only like to be in my own house. I only like to sleep on my comfy beds. Oh dear me. 

Then I went to fast asleep and when I was all awake I was still in my little hospital. Oh dear.

But the nasty sore was all fixed up. 

So Zita and the black go fast car came right away and brought me back to my own house. Ha. That was a good idea. 

The nice people at my little hospital say that I am a very loud barking dog. Ha. That was nice. 

But when I got back home there were men here. 

They were fixing where all the melting snow goes down to our vegetable garden. Oh dear.

And they were very noisy. Oh dear. 

And then they fixed my own watching window. 

But I did not bark at them at all.

Because I was way too tired. 

So I just went to fast asleep right in the living room. 

My Doctor Waller said I had to wear a soft T-shirt to cover up my stitches. 

So they do not get even a little bit dirty. Oh dear me. 

When I was fast asleep Zita went downtown to find my friend Niamh. And bring her back home.

We did not go for a before dinnertime walk today.

Because Doctor Waller told Zita that I have to take it easy for a little while. 

Because I was very fast asleep at my little hospital.

We had a nice together dinner tonight. 

But I was asleep nearly all of dinnertime. Too bad for me.

Maybe I will watch the animal Doctors on the television tonight.

Or maybe I will just go fast asleep. Maybe. 

Day Three Thousand and Ninety Five

We nearly had a nice sleep in this morning.

But Zita had get up to go to our office for a good morning meeting. Oh well.

And Craig only had a very little sleep in. But I minded him until he was all dressed.

And when he made Zita her fluffy coffees I went into our office so I could be Zita’s best helper ever.

I have a new T-shirt on today. It has a very fierce wolf on the front. Ha. 

It is one of Craig’s T-shirts. He lent it to me. 

When Zita went for her lunchtime run all around Craig and I had a peanut butter and honey sandwich. 

Then we looked out my watching window. It is not so cold today. So the snow is melting. Ha.

Ollie the dog was fast asleep in the snow on my front law. 

Ollie is a from up North dog and he likes having his naps right on the snow. 

I do not know why he likes that. Oh well.

But another dog ran right on to my lawn and was loud barking at Ollie. Right on my lawn. That was not so nice.

So I fierce barked him away. That was a silly dog. 

Because Ollie is a very big dog. Bigger than I am. Ha. 

But he is not as very fierce as I am. 

When Zita came back home we went back to our rascal ladies work. 

After lunchtime Zita had to go and get somethings for the rascal ladies. 

Because that store is going to be all locked up.

Because of new do not get sick and die rules. 

We had to have new rule because too many people are too sick.

And some people are not such very good listeners. Oh dear. 

Then the police have to come and take all their money away. Or maybe put them in jail. Ha. Oh well. Too bad for them. 

Niamh was very busy this afternoon.

Because her nice university has started again. But only on all the student’s computers.

So she is going to a brand new course. Right on the big television in her very comfy bedroom. 

Maybe I could go too. On the even bigger television in the den. Ha. 

Then I would know everything about everything. Just like Emmet and Niamh. Ha. That is a good idea. 

Zita and I went for our before dinner walk in the very dark outside.

Because we are very brave and I am a very fierce minder dog. 

Especially when I have my fierce as can be wolf T-shirt on. Ha.

We are going to have a nice together dinner tonight. Maybe we will have some chicken. Maybe.

Last night we watched a brand new program. All about doctors just like my doctor Waller. 

Except that they are in far way England. A long time ago.

And they are in the country with lots and lots of very big horses and all over everywhere sheep. Oh dear.

But they have a very nice dog too. That is a good program. 

Day Three Thousand and Ninety Four

Everybody got up early this morning. 

Because it is go to work Monday.

But Craig did not get up early. He had a very long sleep in.

Because he is all retired. Ha. 

Niamh had to get up early too.

Because she had to walk up to the busy street and see her nice dentist. Oh dear.

When Craig was still asleep Zita had to go to the downtown rascal ladies office.

Because something broke and all their computers could not talk to each other. Oh.

So I kept Craig all toasty warm until she was back home. 

And when he was all awake we had two Scotsman’s scones for our lunchtime. 

With the special delicious jam from Scotland too. Ha. Good for us.

But Zita had to go back downtown to her downtown office.

Because she had to wait for a man to fix the computers. Oh dear. 

I did not go downtown to the rascal ladies office to keep her company. 

Because I had to stay here to mind Craig and my friend Niamh. And the house too. Ha. Good for me.

And I had a very nice nap too. I had a very quiet nice day today.

The present man came to my house two times this afternoon. Ha.

Niamh got a brand new very big phone. And our cheese party friends sent Craig and Zita new special jackets. 

Just like the ones Niamh and Emmet got for Christmas time. 

Now everyone in my house has the same jacket. Ha. That was a good idea. 

So now everybody will know that they are altogether my own family.

Then I went into the den so I could mind Craig while he was reading his book. 

Good for me.

My nice Doctor Waller called us this afternoon. Craig talked to him.

Because I cannot hold the phone so well. 

So I am going to see him on our do not go to work Wednesday. In the morning. Ha. That is a good idea. 

When Zita came home she went to our own office right away. I stayed on my comfy rug in the kitchen. 

I did not want to go back to work. So I just finished my before dinner nap. Ha. Good for me.

I was still nearly still all fast asleep when it was time for our before dinnertime walk. 

So I had to get all fast awake. Oh well. 

You cannot be fast asleep on your walks. 

You might just fall off the sidewalk and maybe hurt your bottom. Or hit your head on a telephone post. Oh dear me.

Hitting your head on a telephone post hurts you head. Oh well. 

But we found Professor Jill anyway. That was good. 

Niamh had to go to a store to get a do not break your telephone case. For her brand new telephone. 

When we got home Zita went downtown and found Niamh so she could have our together dinner tonight.

But then Zita had to go into our office for a meeting. An after dinnertime meeting. 

On the computer. Oh dear. 

We will have to find a brand new program for after dinnertime watching. 

Because we stayed up way past our bedtime to watch all the other program. 

Day Three Thousand and Ninety Three

Everybody had a little sleep in today. 

And I kept Craig comfy warm until he was all dressed. That is an easy job.

We did not go for a good morning walk this morning.

Because of our sleep ins. And it is another windy cold day. Oh dear me.

After Craig made his coffees he went into the den to read his book.

I stayed in the living room when Zita and Niamh talked to Zita’s mother and father in far away Dublin. 

Then Zita’s mother told her she should make us some very delicious Scotsman’s scones. Ha. That was a good idea.

Craig told me that scones are very very good for you. 

He says broccolis are not so good for people. I do not know why. Oh well.

Maybe because you cannot put lots of tasty jam on broccolis. Maybe.

So at our together lunchtime we had the just made scones. 

And we put fluffy as can be cream on top. And jams too. Ha. 

Then Niamh and Cara and Lee and Mister Alex took their toboggans to go sliding on a very long hill. 

You can go very fast on very long hills. But you can hurt your bottoms when you go too fast. Oh dear me.

After my lunch we went on our walk. But I did not want to go.

Because I did not want to wear my boots or my new red jacket.

But then Zita was going to go with professor Jill and the little dog even without me. Oh dear. 

But minding Zita is my own important job. It is known.

Professor Jill’s dog is way too small to be a fierce minder dog. Oh dear me.

So I went to mind Zita. And I wore my boots and jacket too. Oh well. Too bad for me. 

Last night Mister Festis and Mister Furrgus were watching the other television. 

And they saw all the very silly people breaking doors and windows. Right in a very beautiful building.  Oh dear.

They were very upset. They thought that even their giant Scotsmen’s swords might not scare away those silly people. 

So they talked to their uncle Colonel Dugal. Oh dear. 

Colonel Dugal is very very fierce. He has lots of medals that say so. 

So they all went downstairs to the scary basement. 

Where Colonel Dugal keeps all his very big wooden boxes. 

And when they came upstairs Mister Festis and Mister Furrgus had very big guns. 

But they did not bring up my friend Emmet’s giant canon. Oh well. 

Only just some fast shooting guns. 

They were the Colonel’s from when he worked for our nice Queen. In the far far away desert. Oh dear. 

So now they are not even a bit worried. Ha.

Me either. 

This afternoon Zita talked to her sister Auntie Eileen on her own phone. 

So Zita could know everything that is happening in way far away Ireland. 

And she went downstairs to hit nails with a big hammer. Not just the little hammer. Oh dear. 

I stayed upstairs to watch out my window. 

Then someone came to my door but Zita did not know him. So I fierce barked him away. Ha. Good for me. 

When Niamh came home Zita and Niamh and I made own made pizza. 

Own made pizzas are my favourite. 

Because sometimes I get the crunchy bits. Ha.

Tonight we will watch the program with all the very beautiful clothes. And all the ladies who want to get married.

Craig and Zita got married a long time ago. Even before Emmet and Niamh were here. Or me. 

It was only them. In a whole house. So it was nearly just all empty. That was not so very interesting. 

So that is why Emmet and Niamh and I came to live in the house. So it would not be so empty. 

But I only came here when they lived in this house. It is a better house because it does not have an upstairs. 

The go fast chair can not go upstairs. It can go downstairs. But not on purpose. Ha.

Day Three Thousand and Ninety Two

Zita and I had a lovely little sleep in today. 

And Craig got up when we did.

Because it is his Saturday old friends breakfast coffees on the computer day. 

And when he was talking to all his friends Zita and I made the house all spic and span. Good for us.

They talked for a very long time. And when he was finished it was my lunchtime. 

And I got chicken with my lunch. That was a good idea.

Then Zita and I went for our afternoon all around walk. We took doctor Susan with us.

But when we got back home I got the very clean kitchen floor a bit all dirty again. Oh dear. 

Then Craig and Zita took all the beautiful decorations off our Merry Christmas tree and put them away. 

Then Zita took our fat tree outside and then our living room was nearly empty. 

But it was a bit full of little bits of Christmas tree so Zita had to get the noisy floor cleaning machine.

So the floor would be all neat and tidy again. 

So I watched our old tree from my watching window but I was a bit sad. 

I really like it when the Merry Merry Christmas trees are in my house. Oh well.

Then Zita and the black car went downtown to bring Niamh back home. 

We had a breakfast dinner tonight. With very tasty bacon.

Then we watched a new program all about long time ago ladies trying to get married to someone very nice. 

I had a very nice minding nap with Craig and Zita. 

Day Three Thousand and Ninety One

Not even one person in my house had a big sleep in. Not even me. 

Zita had a very little sleep in. We did not go for a good morning walk today.

Because it was a very cold windy day. 

And we did not want to be all frozen before breakfast.

Craig and I had our breakfast when Zita drove Niamh downtown to her work.

Then I watched everybody from my watching window. 

But there was not so many interesting things to watch today.

Because it is a very cold windy day today.

I did not even go outside to play with my brand new very big ball. 

Craig took lots and lots of our beautiful decorations off our beautiful Merry Christmas tree. Oh dear. Too bad for us.

Now the empty tree will have to go outside and keep our outside Merry Christmas company. Oh dear. 

At lunchtime Zita and the go fast car went to get more food for our delicious together dinners. Ha.

I stayed here to help Craig make our together peanut butter and honey sandwich. We had brand new honey. Ha.

When Zita came I helped put all the new food away. I was a very big help.

Then Zita went back to our office to do more work. I had a nice nap on my kitchen rug. 

When all the work was all finished I took Zita to professor Jill’s house. 

So we could give her some brand new vegetables. Then she came oo our walk too. Ha. Good for us. 

It was so cold I even kept my new T-shirt on. Underneath my keep me toasty warm coat. 

And Zita wore her right down to her feet coat. 

Because it is very cold outside tonight. Too bad for us. 

And it is even going to be cold in way far away Cork. Oh dear. 

But Emmet got a toasty warm coast for Christmas. Right from Niamh’s beautiful clothes store. 

So he will not be all frozen like everybody else. 

I only had to mind Craig and Zita for dinner tonight.

Because Niamh had her dinner at Miss Anna’s apartment.

After dinner Zita and the go fast car went and got Niamh.

So she would not just turn into a Niamhsicle. Ha.

We will have to find a new program to watch on the television. 

Because we watched the last of the aeroplane lady detective last night. 

Day Three Thousand and Ninety

We did not have a nice long sleep in today. 

Zita and I were very busy doing our rascal ladies work until Craig was fast awake 

And when he was all dressed we had our together breakfast. And then we looked out the window.

It was not even a little bit interesting today either. Oh well. Too bad for us. 

At lunchtime Zita and I went to see my Doctor Weller. In the go fast car. 

So he could have look at the cut on my own back. That is good. 

But he said I have to go back next week for him to fix it all up. Oh dear. Too bad for me. 

But now I get to wear one of Craig’s very comfy tshirts so I will not hurt the cut. 

Craig said it was alright for me to borrow one of his comfy tshirts. 

Because we are best friends. Ha. 

When I got home I had a very long nice nap in our rascal ladies office.

Going to see my Doctor Weller always makes me very tired. Oh well.

Mister Paul came to my house before dinnertime. He brought back some tools and took another one. Oh well.’

Niamh was painting her beautiful picture all afternoon. Right on the dining room table. I did not help her today.

Because I was just all fast asleep helping Zita with our rascal ladies work. 

We all had a very quiet day today. 

But we had a together dinner. That is good.

I did not take Zita on our before dinner walk tonight.

Because I was a bit too tired. So I stayed her to keep Niamh company. 

But we had a very nice together dinner tonight. 

And I looked out the window for a while. 

Last night we put chocolate fat balls in giant cups and poured very very hot milk on top. 

And then they just exploded and turned into lots of hot chocolate. Ha. That was fun. 

Then we watched the aeroplane lady detective. 

I think we will watch it again tonight. 

She talks to a very dead man all the time. 

And he talks back. That is a silly program. 

Day Three Thousand and Eighty Nine

It is our do not go to work Wednesday but I had a very busy day today anyway. 

It is a go to work for a little while day for Niamh. But she had to go in early.

So Zita drove her to her beautiful clothes store. I kept Craig toasty warm. Ha.

When Zita came home Craig had a squeaky clean shower. 

Because we got a new sit in the bathtub chair for Craig. That is good. 

But when he was all clean as could be all of a sudden all our lights and everything else went off. 

Because all the electricity was gone. 

I do not like know where it went. 

But Craig could not make and too much coffees. Oh dear. Too bad for him.

And Zita and I could not have our good morning toasts either. Too bad for us. 

But then it came right back into our house again. Ha. Maybe it just got a little lost. Maybe.

So then Craig and Zita had their coffees and we all had our toasts. 

And then we started to put away all out beautiful Merry Christmas decorations. Oh dear. That is not so nice.

All the very fierce Scotsmen who were guarding the baby Jesus went back to the den. Until next year.

Then my friend Emmet called us from way far away Ireland and told us to look at the television.

Because lots and lots of people where Craig used to live were trying to stop their own government. Oh dear. 

And they even broke down some doors. Oh dear me.

You can not do that here. Our old Colonel George’s soldiers would stop you. 

They would just stick you with their very sharp pointy swords. 

Or even their pointy hats. Ha. 

Or run you over flat with their giant tanks. Oh dear me. That would not be so nice. 

Emmet has the Colonel’s own pointy sword in his bedroom. And Emmet has a Viking axe and a very long pointy dangerous stick too.  Ha. 

Craig said it was a sad day for that country’s government. Oh dear me. That is too bad. 

Craig’s long time ago uncle Austin had a long pointy stick and a sword too. When he was in our army. 

And he rode a very fast horse. In the long time ago war nobody wanted. 

But we do not have his sword. Or his fast horse. Oh well. 

Zita and I went for an early before dinner walk. 

So we did not have to walk in the very dark outside. That was a good idea. 

But I had to wear all my boots. Oh well. 

I have a little sore on my back. And sometimes there is blood on it. Oh dear me.

I got a cut when I scratched myself on my scratching wall. 

But Zita is going to take me to see my nice Doctor Waller tomorrow. Ha. He is a very nice doctor. 

So he will make it all better again. 

The go fast car brought Niamh home even before it was all dark as can be outside. That was good. 

And we had a very nice together dinner tonight. Good for us. 

Maybe we will go to bed early tonight. 

That is my favourite time to go to bed. Ha. 

Day Three Thousand and Eighty Eight

Zita and I got up early this morning. 

So we could go for our good morning walk.

But Craig had a big sleep in today so he could rest his a bit sore shoulder. Oh dear. Too bad for him.

When he was all awake it was nearly lunchtime so we had two toasts with jam. Ha.

Then Niamh came up stairs so she could make a very delicious cake. But it is a very hard to make cake so Miss Tarryn came over to help.

Last time they made a tasty dessert it did not work. Not even a bit. And it took a very long time to make. 

But they had to give it to the garbage truck. Oh dear.

So the are making a different one today. But it is another takes a long time to make cake. Oh dear. 

And they had to wait until the little cake got much bigger. So they went in the go fast car for an adventure drive.

I stayed here to mind Craig when he looked out the window. 

It is just a no nice sunshine at all day. Just all the time clouds. That is not such a nice day. 

So it was not a good day for looking out my watching window. So I had a very nice beside Craig nap. 

Last night the giant snow gobbling machines we on my street. With their giant trucks. 

And the push the too much snow all around machines too.

They are very scary machines. 

They are way too loud and have all the time flashing lights. 

But I was very brave and I guarded Craig and Zita the whole time. 

The nasty machines did not gobble us up. Not even a bit of us. Ha. Good for me. 

When the rascal ladies work was all finished I took Zita and professor Jill on our nice before dinner walk.

But I had to wear all my boots.

Because the sidewalk are all covered in nasty hurt your feet salt. Too bad for me. 

When Niamh and Miss Tarryn were back home I helped them in the kitchen. That is a good job.

And when Zita made our tasty outside cooked hamburgers I helped her too. Ha.

I am the best kitchen helper ever.

Last night we watched a new program all about a lady who flies all over everywhere on aeroplanes. 

But one day when she was all awake there was a brand new dead person in the bed. Right beside her. Oh dear. 

That is not so all right.

Maybe we will watch some more tonight. Maybe. 

Day Three Thousand and Eighty Seven

We did not have even a little sleep in today. Not even Craig.

Because our Merry Christmas time vacation is all over. 

So Zita and I had our good morning walk.

But then we went into our office so Zita could talk to all the rascal ladies. Oh well.

Then Zita drove Niamh to see the fix your shoulder man at her nice university. 

When she was away Craig and I had our toasts. We had two toasts today.

Because they were not such big toasts. 

But he put lots of the very delicious jam on both of them. That was a good breakfast.

We saw the men put the red signs into the snow. 

If you leave your car on the street when those signs are stuck in the snow they just take your car all away.

Because the signs mean the giant noisy dangerous machines are going to come to my streets. 

And chop up all the too much snow. 

And then their very very big and noisy trucks will come right beside them and take all the snow away. 

I do not like those gobble up the all the snow machines at all. I always think they will gobble up my house too. 

So I bark fiercely at them. But they cannot hear me. 

Because they are way way too loud. And then I get in trouble. 

It is very hard being the very best minder dog. It is known. 

Niamh walked back home from her nice university.

Because it is not cold outside today.

Then she went right to the dining room table so she could do her beautiful painting. 

I minded her right under the table. Ha. That is an easy job. 

At lunchtime Zita went for her all over everywhere run. 

I stayed here so I could watch Niamh make her beautiful painting. That was very interesting job. Good for me. 

The present man brought us Emmet’s last secret present. It took a very very long time to get here. 

We thought maybe it just got lost.

Because it came from way far away England. We opened it. 

So we could send Emmet a picture of his brand new very interesting book.

It is another book all about long long time ago in Ireland. Those are Emmet’s very favourite books. 

He has lots and lots of them. But some are here and he is in far away Cork. Oh dear me. Too bad for him. 

But they are all safe here.

Because I mind them whenever Emmet is in way far away Ireland. It is my job.

Lee and Cara and Niamh went for a walk to pick up a tasty lunch from restaurant on our busy street. 

You cannot eat in restaurants. You can only just bring your food home to eat it. 

Because of the do not get all sick and die rules. 

After my lunchtime I went into our office to help Zita with our rascal ladies work. 

I am her very best helper. Except when I am a too much barking dog. Oh well. 

When Niamh and Cara and Lee came back to my house they all sat at the dining room table.

So everyone could make beautiful pictures. Altogether.

We did not go for a dinnertime walk today.

Because it is not so very nice outside and we would just get soggy. 

So I had a nice kitchen nap instead. When you have kitchen naps sometimes you might get treats too. Sometimes.

We had a nice together dinner tonight. 

We did not watch a detective program last night. 

We watched a movie with Niamh. It was all about a little girl and an old god on a very little boat. 

Right in the middle of a dangerous ocean. 

Sometimes the old god was nearly a shark. Or a bird. That was not so nice.

So I had a nap. 

Maybe we will find a not so scary program tonight. Maybe. 

Day Three Thousand and Eighty Six

Today was sleep in Sunday. 

But I only had a little sleep in before Zita and I went for a very nice long walk.

But Craig had a very long sleep in. 

Maybe he was listening to his interesting book. Or maybe he was just fast asleep. 

I did not go and see. 

Because I was too busy looking out my watching window.

And Zita was talking to her mother in way very far away Dublin. 

So it was nearly lunchtime before we had our breakfast toasts. Oh dear. Too bad for me. 

We had two toasts today. 

Because it was nearly lunchtime. Ha.

We had a peanut butter and jam toast and a peanut butter and honey toast too. Ha.

Then Zita took doctor Susan for a very long all over not too close walk. 

I stayed here to mind Craig and Niamh. 

When Zita came home she brought me another Merry Christmas present. 

A brand new big red ball. Just for me. Ha. That is a good present.

It was not so cold today so I could play with my red ball for a long time. And not get way too cold. That is a good day. 

This afternoon I had a very nice window watching nap. 

My corner was all filled up with little children going down our pond’s hill. As fast as can be. 

All the way down into the all empty pond. 

But nobody got squished. That is good. 

When I was watching everybody Zita and Niamh were downstairs in the basement. 

Because it was a bit too messy everywhere. Oh dear.

If everywhere is too messy you cannot find anything. Even when you are looking for it. 

This afternoon a lady came to our house to get our beautiful mirror.

Because we had too many.

So we gave it to her. For her house. That was a good idea. You should not just keep your way too many things. 

Because then you will just get lost in your messy basement. And then maybe you will miss your dinner. Oh dear me. 

When the basement was nearly spic and span Zita and I went for our before dinner walk. 

It was in the very dark so we were very brave. Good for us.

When we were outside Niamh was painting more beautiful paintings. Right on the dining room table. 

May she will paint a beautiful picture of me. And we can put it on the wall. Right beside my very comfy kitchen rug. Ha.

Then everybody will know it is my own rug. Ha. That is a very good idea. 

We had a very tasty used food dinner tonight. 

We will have the hollow meat that Zita stuffs all full of cheese and delicious ham. That is Niamh’s favourite. 

We will have to find a new detective program tonight. 

Because we watched all of the messy detective’s programs. 

Day Three Thousand and Eighty Five

We had a little sleep in before we went for our before breakfast walk.

It was not very cold today but it was snowy everywhere. 

Because we had even more snow when I was fast asleep. Oh dear.

Craig did not have a sleep in today.

Because it was Saturday.

So it was his day for his old friends coffees right on the little flat computer. 

But he made fluffy coffee and made some toasts for Zita and me before his breakfast.

Yesterday he wore his comfy shirt inside out. All day. Even after Zita told him. Ha. 

He did not do that today. That is good.

Zita washed Colonel Dugal’s Scotsman’s clothes. 

So now he is as neat and tidy as can be. And all dressed too. That is good.

No one wants to have all messy clothes. Not even Craig.  

When Craig was talking to all his old friends Zita was talking to her sister and our cousins too. In way far away Celbridge.

Everybody talked for a very long time. So I had a very nice long nap.

Niamh does not have a sick tummy today. That is good.

Last night when we were watching the messy detective Niamh came into the den.

Because she did not have a sick tummy at all anymore. I was very happy. So I gave her lots and lots of kisses. Ha.

And she stayed in the den and watched the detective program with us. 

She sat right on the sofa and had lots of little drinks of water.  And I minded her too. 

Today when it was lunchtime I had some of Niamh’s special Merry Christmas cake. 

From way far away Italy. It was very tasty. 

Then Zita went outside to take lots and lots of snow away. 

But I could not help.‘because I had to keep Craig company in the den. 

Maybe I was a too much barking dog again. Maybe. 

We are going to have our special brand new year dinner tonight. 

Because nobody is even a bit sick today. That is good. 

Zita and I went for a very lovely long before our dinnertime walk. 

Then Zita and Niamh and I stayed in the kitchen to make our special dinner.

Craig did not help. 

Because only only knows how to make delicious toasty breakfasts. 

He is not such a good dinnertime cook. Too bad for him.

Day Three Thousand and Eighty Four

In the middle of the night the brand new year came here. Right to my own house. 

And I did not even hear it. 

Because I was as fast asleep as could be. Oh well.

But when Zita and I got up and looked out my watching window everything looked just the same. Oh well.

And I did not hear Niamh come home either. But she said it was very too late. Oh dear.

Zita and I had a very nice walk this morning. It was a bit cold outside so everything was not so messy today. That is good. 

We had very tasty toasts today when we had our together breakfast. That is just right.

We looked out the window but there was nearly nobody there. Except for Professor Jill and Willy. 

I think everybody had a sleep in this morning. 

Everybody got lovely socks for our Merry Christmas so we found all our too many old socks and put them in a big bag.

They are for people who do not have as many socks as we do. And sometimes they have too cold feet. That is not so nice. 

So we give them some of our lots and lots of socks. 

When Zita went for her lunchtime run all over everywhere Niamh was all awake.

But she could not stay because she left all her bags of clothes at Miss Anna’s apartment. 

And then the lemon friends are going to watch a famous dance. Right on the television. With soldiers and nasty rats. Oh dear. 

That is not such a nice dance. 

When my friend Niamh did that dance at the giant theatre she was the princess. Ha. That was a good dance. 

But then Niamh had to come right home.

Because she got a very sick tummy. 

Maybe she ate some snow. I always get a sick tummy when I eat snow. Oh dear me/ 

So Zita went right away to get her and bring her home.

So she could have her special sick tummy medicine. Oh dear me. 

After she has her medicine she has to go right to bed and have a long nap. Oh dear me. 

I went and told Craig that my friend Niamh was too sick. But he already knew. Oh dear. 

But we could not be a big help. 

Because that is the special medicine’s job. Oh dear. Too bad for us. 

But Niamh had her nap on my big bed. So I could mind her. 

But not right on the bed. Or she would get too hot. So I minded her from our den. 

We did not have our special brand new dinner tonight. 

Because Niamh was fast asleep. And I was busy minding her.

Maybe we will have it together tomorrow. When Niamh is all better. 

That will be a good dinner.
