Day Two Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Nine

Today is our own country’s happy birthday day.

But we cannot have our very big downtown party today.

Because of the do not get sick rules. Oh well.

We just had our own little party. In our side yard. Before it was too hot and I melted.

Before our breakfast the go fast car took Niamh downtown to her beautiful clothes store.

Even on our happy birthday day. Oh dear.

But they gave her lots and lots of more money. Because it is our own holiday. Ha.

Craig had a big sleep in today. So I minded him until the go fast car brought Zita home.

Then we had our altogether toasts in the side yard. Before it got way too hot outside.

So then Zita and I went only for a very little walk.

Because we found three nearly brand new bookshelves. For free. Right on our other corner.

So we came home right away so the go fast car could bring them to my house.

Before anyone else found them. Ha.

Two little very loud aeroplanes flew right on top of my house this morning.

I barked at them. But they did not hear me.

I cannot scare them all away if they cannot hear my very fierce barking. Too bad for me.

And a nice person gave Zita a new very loud blow everything everywhere machine.

Because maybe our old one is just a bit very broken. Oh dear.

But now we have another one. Ha.

This afternoon Zita made own made baby sing happy birthday day cakes.

We will put our flag on top. And sticky icing too. Ha.

Niamh and the old very fast bicycle went to Miss Anna’s house.

For an sit outside far away sing happy birthday party. Just for our country. Ha.

She took some beer with her. To share.

You can not go to a party unless you bring something lovely.

Maybe beautiful flowers.

Or a nice bottle of not so new wine. It is the rule.

This afternoon Zita put the new free bookshelves all back together. In the basement.

Because we have lots and lots of very interesting books. All over everywhere.

And even lots more in the basement.

Because Emmet and Niamh go to university.

And you have to have lots of books when you go to university. It is the rule. And donuts too.

Some are even on the floor in Emmet’s room.

So now we can put them all away. Where we can find them again. Maybe.

We will not have our together dinner tonight.

Because Niamh is at an outside in a park picnic party.

And Emmet is playing his other game with his all over the world friends.

So I only have to mind Craig and Zita tonight. That is an easy job.

Maybe we will watch some detectives tonight. Or maybe just go right to our comfy bed. Maybe.
