Day Two Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Three

Zita and I got up in the middle of the night this morning. In the still very very dark.

So she could drive my friend Emmet to the train station.

Because it is today that he goes all the way back to his in Cork old university.

In way far away Ireland. Oh dear.

The silver little car took them because the black car is not a happy car.

It is going to Mister Mikes’s fix your car all up store. Oh dear.

When Zita came home we went back to fast asleep. Ha. Good for us.

And we had a little sleep in too.

Craig had a bigger sleep in. Ha.

When he was fast awake Zita and Craig and I had our toasts. Ha.

Niamh did not get up until lunchtime.

Because she was caught by the nasty cold.

Doctor Susan says everybody has the same nasty cold. But I do not have it. Ha.

Niamh is going to her beautiful clothes store anyway. That is silly.

She told Zita that she is all better. I do not think that is true. Oh dear.

Because she took a big box of blow your nose tissues. Too bad for her.

We did not go on our before breakfast walk today.

Because we were fast asleep at breakfast time. Ha.

So we went on an afternoon walk instead. That is good.

It is not all dark when you go for afternoon walks.

When I got back I kept Craig company in the kitchen. We had toasty bagels for our lunchtime.

Then I was all dry as could be. Ha.

So I minded Zita in the living room. Right beside her.

We put all our beautiful Merry Christmas decorations away. Good for us.

But then we took our beautiful Merry Christmas tree down too.

And put it outside.

And then we cleaned everything all up. Oh well.

Our Merry Christmas time is all over again. Oh dear me.

Only Craig and Zita will be here for dinnertime tonight.

So it will not be hard to mind them.

Last night we watched ladies from far away Scotland.

They help detectives. And teach at the university.

They teach the same interesting classes that cousin Orlaith is taking.

But not at her university. At another university in Scotland.

Maybe we will watch it again tonight.

When it was our own bedtime my friend Emmet was in an aeroplane going to way far away.

And when we are just wide awake tomorrow Emmet will be at his old university. In Cork. Ha.
