Day One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Five

We had a big sleep in day today. Everybody.

Craig and Emmet were not all awake until nearly lunchtime time.

When someone in your own family is too sick it makes everybody very tired. It is known.

Zita and I have to wake up all the time. To give Emmet his medicine. Ha. Good for us.

Then I had a quiet day.

Zita and I went for a nice walk when everybody was awake.

Then Niamh and her friends went to visit the very very big river.

Not our river. A bigger river. All filled with giant boats.

They went to see a giant duck. Not my friends the ducks. A giant just pretend duck.

Bigger than our own house. That is silly.

Then our cheese party friends came to visit Emmet. Downstairs in his comfy bedroom.

When we were downstairs there was very loud lightning and thunderstorm outside.

That is good. The thunder cannot get you when you are downstairs. It is known. Ha.

When it was all over we came upstairs. Craig did not go downstairs.

Because he is not scared of the thunderstorms. Ha. That is good.

Then we had lots of tasty from way far away Wales cheese. And different coloured wines. Ha.

Our cheese friends did not stay so long today.

Because Emmet is very tired. Because of his little hole inside. Oh dear. I do not like that.

I kept him company on his big bed. But I have to be way careful and not bump into him.

Because maybe it would hurt him. Oh dear.

After our cheese friends left Zita and I went for our little nice walk. Before the too much rain came again.

We had before bedtime toasts last night. Ha. That is a good treat.

We watched the nice detectives last night. They are not scary at all. That is good.

I talked to Mister Saint Newton last night. About helping my friend Emmet.

Mister Saint Newton knows that Emmet is not a nice dog.

He said it does not matter. It only matters that you are nice. Ha. That is good.

We did not have dinner until very late tonight.

Because we ate all the cheese before dinnertime. Ha. Good for us.
