This afternoon Niamh got a new little computer. For her new school classes.  Not as small as the flat computers. Not so way too heavy like her old computer. It is silver. Craig's car is silver.

The television told Craig that there will be way too much snow again tomorrow. Oh dear.

Emmet went to lunch with Zorro's and nice Jamie's lady. She used to teach Emmet's class all about the broken house war. They talk all about the long long time agos. They like to do that. That is nice. She got little soldiers for Christmas. Craig has little soldiers. Old long ago Roman soldiers.

When Niamh came home I guarded her.

It is good I am a very good guard. Niamh and I were in the kitchen making our lunch. Both the front doors opened. Two men I did not know came into my house. I ran and told Niamh. They were standing talking in my house. I snuck into the living room and gave them my most very big dog fierce growl. It was way loud. Ha. They left right away. Ha.

They left the book all about the nice stores. Niamh said they got confused about the street they were on. I did not care. They were in my house. Nobody told me they could visit my house. I scared them all away. Ha.

The silly rabbit came to sit in my garden tonight.  In front of my watching window. I hate the silly rabbit. Niamh went out and threw a snowball at it. It ran away. Silly rabbit.

People are walking all around with their faces all covered up. I do not like this. I do not know who they are. They might be nasty people. Oh dear. They will not come in my house. I give them my very fierce dog bark.

I stayed here and guarded the house. Craig and Zita went off to talk to a nice hospital lady about getting Craig a new way fast roll all around chair. That is good. His red roll all around chair is older than I am. It is not so fast any more. Ha.

Niamh is studying very hard for her tell everything about everything exams next week. Craig and Emmet looked at her all the old times questions. They said they were very hard questions. Oh dear. Silly schools.

Tuesday, 21 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Fifty Three

Another way too cold day. Zita and I drove Niamh to the noisy bus. Niamh did not want to be a icicle.

I guarded the house until way late last night. No wolves. It is way too cold for lions. Craig and Zita and Emmet and Niamh stayed at the birthday party until all the good food was gone. Ha.

They sang the happy birthday song. Even Craig. He is not a good singer. I heard him. Ha.

I am a good singer. Niamh told me so. Too bad for Craig.

Niamh and Emmet are all sneezy. Niamh had to come home from the dance a lot school. There were cats at the birthday party. Cats make Emmet and Niamh all itchy. They have to have clean you all up baths. And wash all the cat off their clothes. And take pills. Ha.

Niamh had a nice long nap when she got home. Being all sneezy made her tired. Oh dear.

I am not like that. I do not make anybody all sneezy. I am not a silly cat. I am Miss Poppy Taylor. A perfect lady dog. It is known.

Salty sidewalks again. Oh well.

Craig asked me to stay here and guard our house. In case of the wolves.

Zita is making a fat birthday cake for Tara. Tara does not like chocolate. I cannot eat chocolate either. It would make me way too sick. I would have to go to Dr. Smith's hospital. I would not like that.

It is not a chocolate cake. It has a big hole in the middle. Like Mr. Kettleman's bagels. Just bigger. And taller.

Zita has gone out in the windy snow to get a special present for Tara. They are not secret presents. Just nice presents. Ha.

We watched a nice movie tonight. It was not a loud movie. I had another nice nap on my cosy duvet.

I like Saturdays. They are easy days.

Zita and I went for our walk when Craig drove Niamh to her dance a lot school. She has her tell me everything about all the old things exam. Oh dear.

The silly rabbit was sitting on my patio when I looked out my watching window. Before I went to bed. The rabbit should be asleep in his nice rabbit house. Not on my patio. It is way too cold. Silly rabbit. My garden is covered in snow. No beans for the rabbit in winter. Ha. I barked at him. A lot. Oh well.

Zita is out taking our newspapers to all the nice stores on the busy street. Where nice dogs get treats.

Craig and I are helping the other people get the right big piles of papers.  It is important. Sometimes they get confused. They are old. Oh well.

Tonight Emmet and Zita are going out for dinner. Niamh is having Mr. Tony's pizza with Emily and Cara. Everybody is eating with friends. Except Craig. Nobody invited him out. Oh dear. I will guard him. He will have peanut butter sandwiches. Maybe Mr Tony will send the nice man with a pizza to Craig. Ha.

It is a snowy day. The weather is silly. Craig said so. He is right.

I had a nice walk tonight. No wolves. Or nasty dogs. Or silly rabbits. That is good.

Thursday, 16 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Forty Eight

I did not have my toasts with Craig this morning. Too bad for us.

Craig and Paul went to get my very big bags of food. Craig did not have time for his toasts. Only his coffee. Oh dear.

Craig and Paul got Niamh more beautiful pink baskets for her bedroom. At the store where they have breakfasts for nearly no money. That is nice. I can not go there. No dogs allowed. Oh well.

Zita and I had a nice walk. No nasty dogs. That is good.

Our papers came today. In the way big truck. With people I did not know. I barked at them. Craig said they were nice people. They were very slow. Not like the nice men I know. They are fast. Oh well.

Tonight is our busy night. Emmet has his very interesting class at his university. After he is going out for chips with Sava and Chris.

Niamh cannot teach at her dance a lot school tonight. It is full of food. Oh well.  Zita has to go to her new university too. To listen to an interesting person talking. No pictures. Just talking.

Niamh will make dinner. No peanut butter sandwiches. It is known. I like peanut butter. Oh well.

Niamh is still studying about all the old times. She has her tell everything you know exam tomorrow.

I will guard them until Emmet and Zita come home. Ha.

Day Five Hundred and Forty Seven

I am fine today. Zita told everybody how brave I was when the giant nasty dog tried to eat us. That is good. I got lots of hugs and treats. That is good.

I have a nice walk this morning. We did not go down the street where the nasty dog was. That is good.

It is very messy out. I have to have a little bath when I come home from my walks. Oh well. I get treats.

It was a way early morning again. Everybody has to get up too early so they can have a nice car ride to school. I have to wait for my walk. And wait for Craig to come home from Emmet's university before we can have our toasts. Oh well.

I do not know why some dogs are nasty. Zita says it is the people's fault. I am not nasty at all. I am nice. Zita says so. Jamie is not nasty. Zorro is not nasty. Ollie is not nasty. Just scary.

The dog with the white tail is nasty. He is possessed. I have not seen him for a long time. Maybe the lions got him. Ha.

Niamh is studying all about old things. Craig is helping her. Because he is old too.

They put holes in Mr. Bill's foot. To fix it. Oh dear. Craig will visit him. Craig has lots of holes in him. It is known.

Tuesday, 14 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Forty Six

All the ice is still melting. I am a soggy dog again. Another bath. Oh well.

We watched a very loud movie last night. Zita and Niamh and Craig and I. It was too loud. When I was nice asleep it woke me up. Lots of times. It had space ships. No nice dogs. Oh well.

I had a long long walk with Jamie this morning. That is nice. Jamie was soggy too. We got home late.

Craig and I had toasts in the den. I do not know why. Just a den toasts day. Craig is a Scotsman again. With a sword and a boat. Oh well. Craig has no more Scotsman's fat cakes. He ate them all. Too bad for him.

When the toasts are all done I lick Craig's knees. He thinks I am friendly. I have to lick his knees. He wipes his hands on his knees. I have to clean him all up.

Craig is too messy. Emmet is messy too. They are boys. Zita and Niamh and I are all ladies. We are very beautiful. Not all boys are messy. Just most. Niamh has messy room. Oh well.

We played throw the Red Ball in my side yard today. Zita and I chopped all the way too slippy ice up. We put it on the street where the big noisy machines will take it all away. That is good. My Red Ball is very bouncy when it not way too cold.

This afternoon a very big dog tried to bite Zita and me. It was bigger than me. Maybe it was a wolf. It looked like a wolf. Oh dear.

I stood between it and Zita. A silly man ran out and took it into his house. Zita yelled very loud at him. It was way scary. I was very brave. I did not hide. I was still scared. Zita was scared too she said.

We came home and had treats. Treats make you feel brave. When you have them with your family. It is known.

Monday, 13 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Forty Five

I was sick last night. Zita said I licked too much salt off my feet.

I have to have a little bath every day until all the salt is gone away. Oh well. I do not like being sick. Then I  had a nice sleep on my comfy bed.

Zita is going to make me a new Scotsman's coast. It will cover my tummy too. So I do not get all salty again.

Uncle Bill came over to look at our roof. He said it was a nice roof. That is good.

Uncle Bill and Aunt Louise are going to go to France. Right in the same place where Craig's nice French policeman lives. Maybe they will see his brand new dog. Maybe they can have lunch at his friends cheese soup restaurant. That would be nice. Uncle Bill likes cheese. Just like me.

Craig says the nice policeman is a better cook than he is. Craig only makes peanut butter sandwiches. Ha.

Emmet needs a new class. Oh well. Craig says you should only take classes from good listeners. He is right. Bad listeners start wars.

I had a nice walk tonight. Before it got dark. It is not so cold out today. All the ice is still melting.

Another bath. I had sand all over my tummy. Oh well.

Sunday, 12 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Forty Four

We put a million big plastic tubs in my yard to catch the way too much water. From the roof. So it would not go into my basement. They make too much noise. I do not like them a lot. Oh well.

We had a very wet walk. Zita and I were all soggy. We saw Jamie. She was all soggy too. Zita has to dry herself when we get home. I do not. Craig has my new fluffy towels all ready for me. Ha.

Zita used the big chopper stick on all the ice. We moved the cars. I got in the gold big car and watched. I was on guard. I am a big help.

We have way too much ice. Ice makes people fall down. Dogs too sometimes. If they are chasing their Red Ball. Oh well.

We used the very big push the snow on to the road shovel. Zita filled it with big pieces of too much ice.

We put beautiful red shiny balls on my trees. In my front yard. For Christmas. This morning the awful squirrel tried to take one for itself. That is not right. I was very upset. I got into just a bit of trouble.  I hate squirrels.

Then we all had our lunch. Even Emmet was awake. Ha. I had chicken treats.

Niamh is very very busy. She has her tell everything you know exams this week. Oh dear.

I had exams when I went to school when I was little. I was not very good at exams. Oh well. Craig said he was not so very good at exams either. Or Uncle Bill. And they are way old. Too old for exams Craig said. That is good.

Emmet and Niamh and Zita are very good at exams. That is good. I am a big help when they have to do their stay up late studying time. I guard them so they are all safe. No wolves in my house. It is known.

Saturday, 11 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Forty Three

It is a very soggy dog day. It is raining. Everything is all too slippy. We did not go for our nice walk. Zita might fall on the way too slippy sidewalks.

Craig did not go to breakfast today. Too slippy for him. He looked out the watching window with me and we had toasts.

I got in to trouble again. Squirrels in my garden. Trying to get the food for my friends the birds.

Nasty squirrels. Jamie and I should find the giant owl we saw way long ago. Owls are scary. They eat squirrels. Ha. That is good.

I helped Zita chop up the ice in my side yard. Where I play throw the Red Ball. We can not play it now. It is too slippy. I slide into the gate. It is embarrassing.

I got way too soggy and I was shaking. I could not stop. I do not know why. Zita brought me in the house. Craig got me my new warm fluffy towels. I am all nice and warm now.

I got chicken treats. Dr. Smith gets the chicken treats for me. So my leg will not get sore. That is good. Dr. Smith is my friend.

Craig is in the den. He is still the nice French policeman. His new dog is still ok. That is good.

Emmet is downstairs on his comfy sofa. Reading all about a war nobody wanted. They had it anyway. That is sad. It was not Craig's father's sad war. It is another one.

Craig said they had the war because nobody was a good listener. Oh dear. I will try to be a better listener.  I do not want to be in a war. It is known.

Zita went and got me soggy dog boots. So the awful salt will not hurt my feet. That is good.

Everybody outside has umbrellas. That is not right. It is the cold winter. You do not have umbrellas in the winter. It is known.

Friday, 10 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Forty Two

Another too early day. Craig drove Emmet and Niamh to their schools. Very early. Too early. No toasts today. Oh well.

I got in trouble today. I was chewing on my bed. Zita said it was a silly thing for a smart dog like me to do. Oh dear.

We went on a nice long walk anyway.  That is good.

Craig came home and we had lunch. I got the little chewy end pieces of our sandwich. That is good. It was a peanut butter sandwich. I like peanut butter.

He got his hair all cut. He does not look like Jamie any more. Ha.

Zita went to lunch with her lady friends. I could not go. I had to stay here to guard Craig. Oh well.

I had to have a little bath. My feet got all full of the nasty salt. They put on the way slippy sidewalks. It does not work. They are still way too slippy. It is known.

It is going to rain tomorrow the television says. Soggy dog time again. Oh well.

Niamh told me her cousin from way far away Ireland might come and visit me. In the summer. When it is nice and not way too cold. People from way far away do not know about way too cold. They think they do. They do not.

Zita took a picture of me. On my comfy duvet. Helping her write her very important essays. Craig said he will put the picture on my blog so everyone can see what a big help I am. That is good. It is known.

Thursday, 9 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Forty One

I had a nice long long walk today. It was nice. We did not see anybody. We took pictures of our shadows. They were not scary shadows.

Zita has to go to her new university tonight. I helped her with all the very important writing. On the comfy bed.

Craig was reading in the den. He is the French policeman again. The nice policeman got a brand new dog. That is good. Policemen need dogs to help them find all the nasty people. So Auntie Louise can throw away the key. I do not know why she has the key. No one told me. Oh well.

It is very slippy out. Craig was throwing my Red Ball and I slipped on the very slippy ice and hurt my leg. I went and lay on my comfy bed in the kitchen. It is ok now.  That is good. I do not want to be like Mr. Bill.  And have to go to the hospital with the nasty food. And not sleep in my own comfy bed. Oh well.

Niamh is teaching dance a lot tonight. It is too dark to walk home alone. Because of the wolves hiding behind the big lumps of snow. Emmet or Craig will go and get her. That is good.

I would go if it was not so slippy.  I am not afraid of wolves. We have canons. And swords. And a Viking's axe. And way way heavy armour in the basement. Ha.

Wednesday, 8 January 2014

Day Five Hundred and Forty

I had a nice walk without the choke me to death collar. I was a very good listener.

It is a start way too early day. Niamh and Emmet have to go to school too early. Oh well.

Craig and Zita went to visit poor Mr. Bill in the hospital. His foot is still broken. That is not good.

Zita brought him his food from Mr. Kettleman's store. That is the store where they have little bits for nice dogs. It is a nice store. Hospital food is not so nice. No Irish chicken in the hospital. Too bad for them. Ha.

Zita went to the make me beautiful store today. To get her hair made all nice. That is good.

There is a big black dog who barks at me when we go for our walks. He is bigger than me. He is way skinny. Not so strong. Ha. When he goes by my house I bark at him. Until he goes away. He is a nasty dog.

Craig had to go get Niamh from her dance a lot school. She has an upset tummy. She can only eat glasses of water.

She got on Zita and Craig's big bed. I got on too. To make her feel all better. That is what dogs are good at. Making people feel better. I like that job. It makes me happy.  That is good.

Day Five Hundred and Thirty Nine

A way too cold day again. My legs want a nice long walk but my feet get too too cold. Zita and I only had little walks today. With my Scotsman's coat. And Zita's new beautiful warm coat.

This morning Niamh had a sliver in her finger. It got too big for a finger.  It was very sore. Zita's friend Dr. Susan fixed it. Zita had to drive Niamh to school. To her toe dancing. Niamh loves toe dancing.

I thought I was in trouble last night. I had one of Zita new sheep shoes as a pillow. On my comfy bed. They could not find it. They looked all over. I did not know. No one asked me.  I had it. It was fine. I would not chew on it. It is not mine.

I only wanted a nice cosy smelly pillow. I like pillows. Everybody came and looked at me. I thought Craig might say Oh Dear. He did not. He said it was all ok. Craig knew I was confused. He said I was the best dog in the world. That is true.

Sometimes I get confused about some things. Like when to bark at strange people at the door. It is hard being a dog. It is known.

Niamh is going to teach people how to dance. They are going to give her real money. She is a good dance teacher.

She needs the money so in the summer she can go to way far away Ireland to visit all her cousins. And eat Irish desserts.

Craig brought Emmet home from his university. It is too windy out. Emmet would sail away. They should get a leash for Emmet so the wind cannot fly him way far away. It is known.

I had two car rides today. I was a big help.

I went to get Niamh tonight after her dance a lot class. In the gold big car. I did not see any wolves at all. Just windy snow. Ha.

Day Five Hundred and Thirty Eight

It rained last night. This morning everything was way too slippy. We did not go for a walk. We used big sticks to break the ice. I helped.

Craig told me we have silly weather. He is right. It is very silly. Now it is all cold again and all the poor people and cars are slipping all over my corner. I cannot help. It is too slippy for me too.

Craig did not throw my Red Ball at all today. Too slippy he said. Oh well. Craig said it will not be so way too slippy tomorrow.

Craig took Emmet to the dentist. Zita took Niamh to the dentist. Niamh did not have to go to school. The world was way too slippy for schools today. She cleaned up her room. Ha.

Paul came over to drink his coffee. He fell down too. He did not break anything. Not like Mr. Bill. He is still in the hospital. Oh dear. That is not nice. Maggie must be very sad. Oh dear.

Emmet goes back to his university tomorrow. So does Zita. And Niamh goes back to her dance a lot school. Craig and I will guard the house.

Day Five Hundred and Thirty Seven

Not so way too cold today.

It snowed last night. And it is still snowing. I always come in a soggy dog. I get ice in my feet. That is not nice. Oh well.

Niamh and Craig and Emmet took and the beautiful lights of the beautiful Christmas tree. Saint Santa's Christmas is all over. Oh well.

My family likes the Christmas. It is known.

Zita had to shovel the too much snow. I helped. Then I barked too much. I had to come in the house. Oh well. When Zita was doing her shovelling there were too many people outside I did not know. I do not like that.

Emmet has a sick tummy. I will sleep on his bed to make him all better.

Day five Hundred and Thirty Six

It is not so too cold today. The television was right. I did not have to wear my Scotsman's coat. We went for a long nice walk. That is good.

Niamh did not get up until way way late. Craig would not let me jump on top of her to get her out of bed. Oh well.

I was not a good listener today. Craig said Oh Dear to me. Twice. I do not like to hear those words. They make me feel sad inside.  I went and lay on my comfy bed in the kitchen until I felt all better. Oh well.

Craig went to see Mr. Bill in the hospital. He still has a broken foot. Oh oh.

Uncle Bill came over for Irish tea. And fat Scottish cakes. He is making a big dinner tomorrow. Uncle Bill likes to cook. That is good. They will not starve in Uncle Bill's house.

I had a nice walk tonight.

Niamh has gone to go skating on the big all icy canal. I do not like the icy canal. Too slippy for me. I fall always down. It is not nice. It is known.

Niamh has skates. Dog's do not have skates. Oh well.

Day Five Hundred and Thirty Five

Still way too cold. Zita had to give me treats to go for our walk. I still have to wear my Scotsman's coat.

Niamh had to go to the doctor to get her do not get way too sick shot. Niamh and I do not like shots.

Craig's friend brought them lunch today. They talked a lot.  We might have a Scotsman party.

Everyone will have to eat porridge. No cheese parties for Scotsmen. Too bad for them. Craig said I can come to the party. I do not have to wear my Scotsman's coat to the party. That is good. Or eat porridge. Ha.

I had a nice nap. And looked out my watching window. Nobody is outside. No wolves. It is too cold.

The television said it was not going to be way too cold tomorrow. Ha. The cars hate the cold too. It is known.

When Zita came home she took Niamh's friends shopping. It is what they do. I am going to go to bed early tonight. Going for walks in the way too cold makes me tired.

Day Five Hundred and Thirty Four

It is still way way too cold.

Zita and I only went for a short short walk. It made my nose hurt. Oh well.

We came home very fast and we had our toasts. Craig and Zita had their coffees and I watched out my watching window.

Nobody was outside. Too cold. We should have kept our old year. It is known.

Niamh had to go to her dentist in the too too cold. Zita drove her.  Zita brushes my teeth. That is good. I went to the dentist. I did not like it at all.

We did not throw my Red a Ball today. It is too cold for Craig. Oh well. I got a lettuce treat. That is good.

I did not want to go out for our late walk. It is way too cold. Zita was going to have to go without me.

That is not right. There may be hungry wolves hiding behind the big piles of snow. I went with Zita. Just in case.  I am very brave most of the time. Even with cold cold feet.  It is known.

Day Five Hundred and Thirty Three

I have a new year outside.

It looks just like my old year.

It is still way cold. I had to wear my Scotsman coat. I was still cold. Oh well.

The outside was empty. Just Zita and me. Not even Jamie who likes the cold. Ha.

Niamh and Emily and Cara had a don't sleep very much night here. They stayed up too late. This morning I had to go downstairs and wake them up. Ha.

This afternoon Zita made lots of butter tarts. Not for dogs she said. Oh well.

Then we went for a nice walk. It was still way too cold.

Maggie came to my house for a visit. Mr. Bill has to have the doctors fix his foot. He has to stay in the hospital. Oh dear.

Maggie cannot visit Mr. Bill in the hospital. I told her they do not let dogs visit people in the hospital. I could not go and visit poor Emmet when his lung broke. Maggie was sad. Very sad. Oh dear.

We are having a very little cheese party tonight. Because everybody is tired. I will have to get them to go to bed early tonight. It is known.
